Like any Beaver group, the 61^st Leicester Beaver Scouts is run entirely by leaders who give up their free time on a regular basis. We could not run without the kind support of these leaders, as well as parents and other supporters of the pack. We are always on the lookout for more help, and would appreciate anything you feel you could offer us. So how can you help? Have a look below for some ideas, but if you feel you can help us in any other way please contact us, you will be helping to maintain Scouting as the largest mixed gender organisation in the world with over 400,000 members in the UK alone.

 

This role involves supporting the Beaver Scout Leader by attending meetings, helping plan meetings and future events, and in any other way agreed with the Beaver Scout Leader. Does this sound like something you'd like to do?

 

This is not a uniformed role but still is critical to the running of the pack. Beaver helpers are often parents who help the leaders with the running of a meeting, sometimes on a rota basis. This involves less commitment than a warranted leader but is still just as interesting and challenging.

 

As you can probably imagine it is often difficult getting 15 Beavers in the same place at the same time. Can you make this less of a challenge by transporting a few Beavers to a meeting place? All you need to do is less us know you are willing to help and fill in a couple of forms.

 

Funding is always limited in a Scout group so anything extra we can raise can help us to continue to provide excellent Scouting. Are you able to help us raise much needed funds?
